~A Sonnet to Hatred~

They say love endureth forever,
But I think hatred lasts longer.
Love is a burdensome endeavor,
But each day, anger grows stronger.
Turmoil and difficulties accompany love,
While anger fills my heart with pleasure.
Wrath comes like a gift from above,
While love must be avoided at any cost or measure.
I have heard hatred is an addiction,
But it is one I gladly take

For love is a despicable affliction,
One that causes hearts to break.
O hatred, o anger - heed my cry and call,
Free me - please - from love's vicious thrall.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Khepary, in the year 246 MA.
