Poetry News Post #1629

Forbidden Repose

Written by: Brena

I too was paid to post. You people should get a life.

Death's gentle caress cooled my fevered cheek,
Shadows revealing hidden truths and awakenings.
Mortal bonds slipping from me as I fall one last time,
I will holdfast to your promise.
Who knew Death's cold kiss could warm my soul?
I shall embrace release with a smile upon my once warm lips.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Variach, in the year 232 MA.
