To a friend

I lost my muse and so I write this one thing that might be the last that
comes through my tangled mind and I hope my aim is clear enough that it
is recognized.

A sonnet for you

There was a time in days of joy
where I had though my time not spent
and with a will you would enjoy
I loved you to my heart's consent
A time where I was glad to see
our friendship filled with laughs and smiles
where I was so content to be
and put to rest all draining trials
I did not stay around to wait
for a response would never come
I stayed for friendship far to great
to toss aside and let succumb
Though past the days of softest mourning
I never listening to your warning

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Severin, in the year 230 MA.
