As I strolled out
one bright early morn
toward fields and flowers a-sway

I followed my gaze
to a rare sight indeed,
a wonderful gem in the sky.

With form so fair
and jewel so rare,
she stole my heart straightaway.

And now so snared,
I do not dare
turn my thoughts away.

For one day soon,
I hope to say,
this jewel will be in my care.
