What Hope this year has brought to me
A sensation I have yearned to feel
Sitting and taking, gazing at the wonderous sea
Oh what comfort you have brought

My ears prick, an intense breath
They all fret, warn and whisper
Our loved ones, concerned for the best
Will their calls truly be met?

Searching around for something they seek
I pause and realize, it dawns on me
Im already there, where my heart lies
Against your fur, gazing in your eyes

Wings must've grown, the way my heart dances
So light and blithe... is it finally free?
Such a relieving time, seeing our true chances
The only restraint.. your embrace, tugging at my heart

Frigid and stiff, the chill of hope
Melt with me, join snow and petal
Met by radiant rays from the season of growth
One we will be, wrapped in loves fetters

Flipping through the pages of the past
Our laughter echoes as we reminisce
The past turns to present and threatens to last
Our inevitable future, our endless hourglass

Stripes and paws, fur and muzzle
All perfect to me, exempt of error
Spending our time with talks and cuddles
How comforting this is.. You and I

My heart.. always yours, keep my hand met
I swear this day, my unfaltering adoration
No more searching, my gaze is set
Stay with me, through the changing seasons
