eternity

The world and I are born inside your eyes
looking towards the neverending dawn -
I, your captive, am alight with fire,
my cage a poor prison for my desire.
Ancient ritual kept from age to age,
and in your eyes again, my body yields.

O, that love between us ever yields
a thousand stolen glances from your eyes,
propelling us forward from this Midnight Age
towards a new and glorious eternal dawn.
We two are fueled by this desire;
I see it in your smile. It lights a fire

bright, a blazing, consuming wildfire
with only pure and faithful hearts its yields.
Such within your soul is my desire,
and shines a brilliant light inside your eyes.
Your whispers fill the sky, the dawn
arises now to greet us in our age.

But what a mortal concept labors age
and tries to put a number on our fire?
It matters not, so long as we see dawn's
light pierce the sky, as Stygian darkness yields
reflecting purple, red and blue within our eyes.
Your face a perfect mirror of my desire

I relent, a prisoner of your desires.
Yet I am contented an eternal age
trapped inside the passion of your eyes,
so long as both our hearts, consumed by fire,
remain as one. A memory yields
your soft, warm lips on mine. Dawn

rises again, the hundreth dawn
that smiles gently down on our desire.
I am so moved, my heart that yields
to your love is yet bereft of age.
Be still, my love, consume me in your fire,
and lose me deep within your golden eyes.

Our love is born of dawn for an undying age,
and tempered with desire. To be so blessed in fire
yields eternal faith in yours and Mother's eyes.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Severin, in the year 207 MA.
