memory of flame

Written by: Cyrae Hineb Saloe, Instructor Lisette Winterstar
Date: Monday, January 15th, 2007
Addressed to: fio Ahaihnio Sabaelnari, Fierzha McCloud, Curate of Faith

dawnfire and honeysuckle
surround the very soul of you -
tasting the milk and honey of
your lips, pressed softly, insistently to mine,
sunrise blazing brilliant in your eyes -
white flame of passion caged inside
desire burning in your heated breath

I am captive, as a nightingale
waiting to burst forth in morning song -
to release in your the whole of
self, as only lovers can know,
tangled in this web we have woven -
quell the inferno in my breast
collecting me safely on your shore

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Niuran, in the year 206 MA.
