Trapped within gilded cages, we cry,
"We are free! Come join us in our cage!"
Bars of iron coated with gold,
They may bend, but will never break

A floor that will not yield
Bars that will bend under only the greatest pressure
Is there any way out?
A ceiling of glass... this may be the way

Yet thick and mighty is the glass
As many fall within their cages,
Giving not the effort necessary,
Exhausted, they fall back within their cages.
