A funny thing occured to me
A bit of mystery, that it be
Time moves on, counting away
An endless thread, numberless days
Hearts leap forth on spurious claims
Declaring love, eternal flames!
Yet time and again, these lovers fall
Witless children, ending in bauls
Why do they think theirs so special
A different love less superficial
Silly children, go back to your game
Love will beat you, now and again.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Slyphian, in the year 182 MA.
