There was a night
When the sky was on fire
Blood moon, I think they called it.

You called it my midnight sun.

A haunting, lingering scent
Like the poison that was your eyes
I've remembered. I've sometimes felt it.

It was how my demons died.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Ios, in the year 179 MA.
