Hated?

It's night. The air is cold and chilled.
While some are sleeping, others are waking.
A night for the taking.
Gambling pits full, bars serving alcohol.
I stay in the shadows.
I do not like to be seen.
Nighttime merriment turns to fear.
As a little girl loses her mother
In the crowd. I spot her.
She's quite light to carry, for a child.
Hand clamped over her mouth
So she doesn't scream.
She couldn't love me
For what I've done
She wouldn't love me
Because I looked evil
She just wouldn't love me
We were quite far away
Out of earshot of the people.
She tries to scream and yell for help.
Closing in, screams get louder.
Nails slash across my face.
The blood seeps out, it feels good.
Petrified with fear.
Her lips tremble.
A tear trickles down her cheek.
I don't understand why she's crying
I roughly turn her around
and whisper for her to be silent.
She can't love me.
For what I'm about to do.
She won't love me.
Because I'm evil.
Why won't she just love me?
Her mother left her.
Obviously didn't want her.
I'll take this trash and rid of it.
Knife is fast, throat is tender.
Body tightens, then slumps - lifeless.
Stroking her blonde hair gently, I back away.
I'm walking through the crowd.
Thinking of what I've done.
Red on my lips, and on my tongue.
My thirst satiated.
I drop her body at my feet.
and leave her bleeding body, forgotten in the street.
She can never love me.
For what I did.
She will never love me.
Because I'm eternally evil.
She just won't ever love me.
I wake up, and realize it's a dream.
Across the graveyard I hear a little girl scream.
I make my way to see what it is.
Some beast has slaughtered a little girl.
She's laying, dead at our feet.
This beast just left her here, dying on the street.
