Sleeping Eternally

Sleep now, little Aetolian child
Papa is keeping watch tonight
Hug your doll and rest your eyes
You will not see if Papa dies
Mind is filled with dreams of roses
Mama putting kisses on our noses
The screams are not enough to wake this child
She's slaughtered silently in the night
She doesn't even wake
To feel the blade slice her throat

Sleep now, little Aetolian child
Forever

The sun shined on her face
as the fire rained down
from the heavens
wrath and vengeance pour forth
like a tidal wave of
Blood and Nightmares

There is
There is no
There is no hope for
There is no hope for mankind
As we slaughter ourselves into oblivion

Mama just heard
Her tears stain the ground
from the news she's just found out
Her husband lays slain
on the field of battle
in a pile, being burned
next to cattle

There is
There is no
There is no hope for
There is no hope for mankind
As we slaughter ourselves into oblivion

Mother lost husband, and daughter
Now a memory is all that's left of her
Nay but a scream filled the air
on the night she hung herself there
A night filled with rain and thunder
mother, daughter and husband now resting eternally
- six feet under

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Slyphian, in the year 173 MA.
