New hope

All the years you have been there.
All the years I failed to see.
Yet it lingers upon my lips
the taste of your lips.
The feel of you body..
It lingers and lingers

Even now I stand in awe
Shaken, torn, how could I not see?
Where once I felt hopeless
I feel refreshed..
Where once I put all that aside
I find it renewed.

My steps lighter..
My purpose renewed..
All those years and I failed to see.
My eyes opened..
The tenderness that resides so close..
that has captured my heart...
And in turn opened mine..

The kiss that still lingers upon my lips
That touch that reawakened an old heart
Now I live, and hope beyond hope
to feel you within my arms again.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Haernos, in the year 161 MA.
