Snake

Written by: Wild Oleander, Inaris Ta'Ros, the Silver Hummingbird

Addressed to: Everyone

It lies deep inside
Waiting for the perfect moment
Black scales gleaming
Fangs drip with venom

It is small in some
Barely a tapeworm
But within me it grows
Crawls through my intestines
Rests in my stomach
Soon to make its debut
On the tip of my tongue

My words will drip with venom
My eyes turn to cold slits
And then I will pass the snake on
To grow
To live
To reside
Deep inside of others

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Variach, in the year 159 MA.
