Troublesome Cave

In the southern lands, on the border by the sea
dwell two populations, each within its own city.
Devotion-users and do-gooders in the City of Light
Necromancers and vampires in the City of the Night.

Children in cities everywhere are easily enticed
to be guided to goodness or to be trapped in a vice.
Candles, candies, storybooks to young eyes hold promise,
but young minds know no dangers of the nefarious wish.

While the Light offers the children safety and good care,
there is malice for those taken to Darkness's lair.
What cruel and sordid tortures in the shadows do await
the scared and helpless children who go lamb-like to their fate?

They are handed off to Artifice, no mercy will they know.
Their innocence will be tainted like blood marks on pure snow.
Are they ever released from the seductive hell they've found,
or are they forever to the Artificer helplessly bound?

Light must end these evil doings and never tolerate;
Protect the world's most innocent, lest it be too late!
Raid the darkened city, be strong, beat back the guards,
wreck the buildings, set the fires, make an epic for the bards.

When you find the temple, let it only stand
long enough to desecrate the altar with your hand.
Then, with Truth and Fire, let your combined Light rend
the temple - may Artifice never touch innocents again.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Ios, in the year 155 MA.
