Listening and Watching

Written by: Poem
Date: Tuesday, March 22nd, 2005
Addressed to: Everyone

I can listen to the sound of a teardrop, and I can feel distraught.
But when I watch the the scene, in my heart I feel naught.
Listening to a petal bloom is truly a marvelous sound.
But when I watch the beauty emerge, it's like I wasn't around.

Is it true there's more to see,
When you close your eyes?
Perhaps it's true, I do not know
That you can hear the skies?

Listening with your eyes closed reveals a marvelous thing
You can see more with your mind than the most sharp-eyed being.

To those who forget what it is like to listen.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Slyphian, in the year 153 MA.
