Memory's Path

Written by: Faded Willow, Gwendolyn De'vyen, Slyphian Priestess

Addressed to: Everyone

If life were meant to be this way
Surely my memory would falter and fail
Never allowing these seeds to plant
These roots to take hold
Within the recesses of my thought
Preachings of life seem so pale now
In the pond's reflection of my own life
My own eyes
Holding so many memories
All our words are malicious acid
When heard by the ear who's cilla should not quiver at our sounds
Whose lives should not intermingle with our own
Not my own eyes
That this river reflects anymore
What heavy hearts do remember
Do they really need to
Lives and choices do change
No matter whose lips speak they are lies
Mine are mine for me
To keep the ship afloat when canons blaze to sink me
Do we ever act with the intent of disappointment?
For this life is my life
The road my path
And I choose where my feet will go

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Lanosian, in the year 143 MA.
