Rain

Written by: Weeping Willow Gwendolyn De'vyen, Slyphian Priestess

Delicate rains do patter through here
To hide the tears of the weary
Torrents fall down, cascades of the purity
Cleansing ever cleansing
Knowing, giving freedom and release

Rhythmic oblivion and quiet respite
The drops of the rain granting freedom to all
Manumission, exorcism
Take this taint from me

Rivulets of water across my skin
A sanctuary that encompasses
The drowning droning splash
Pouring down and pouring down
Cacophony of the sounds
Washed together in harmonious consumption of the senses

Yet sanding here in eerie quiet
My cares now rinsed away
I pause in reflection of such a simple thing
As a calming rain.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Slyphian, in the year 142 MA.
