Moon

This quiet night beneath the moon
Its omniscient light so soothing and soft
A tender forgotten caress
But like it too is my existence not simply
A reflection of the beauty I yearn to?

Moon shine on still
Mother face within your gaze
A whispered word
To the aching hearts which glean from you
Unspoken desires of life long lost.

Waning moon,
You dip lower still in clinging death
A courteous bow before your execution by the day
Proper repose for such is your elegance

Falling starlight weeps
Their monarch laid to rest,
And their own lives spent,
With the shattering aura of dawn.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Chakros, in the year 141 MA.
