Could it be?

Could it be when I look up at the misted stars
I see you smiling down at me?
Could it be when I hear the running brook
I hear your gentle laugh?

Could it be when I smell the scent of rain
I am remembering your closeness?
Or could it be when I taste the ripe redness of a berry
I am tasting your kisses again?

Perhaps I imagine it all
When I'm sitting in the peace of your grove
Perhaps I am crazy
Without a cure and without a hope

The rain mixes with my warm tears as I think of you
They fall to the ground, nurturing the earth
I dream of when I saw you last, when I'll see you again
Not mourning but only tenderly remembering

Hoping..

Wishing...

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Niuran, in the year 138 MA.
