Songbird

I strolled through the Ithmia and heard a sweet cry,
Rustling feathers - a rainbow of colour flew by.

Songbird, oh Songbird, sing me a song,
To listen, I'll be here all day long.

I don't know where I'm headed,
I'm probably dreaded, so

Songbird, oh Songbird, sing me a song,
To listen, I'll be here all day long.

Sing sweetly and true and tell me no lies,
The largest waste of time is always guys.

Songbird, oh Songbird, sing me a song,
To listen, I'll be here all day long.

Tell me of realms far far away,
Realms I'll visit some other day.

Songbird, oh Songbird, sing me a song,
To listen, I'll be here all day long.

Seasons will come and seasons will go,
I'll survive through the rain and the snow.

Songbird, oh Songbird, sing me a song,
To listen, I'll be here all day long.

Alas this Songbird sang me no song,
But, with hope, I stayed all day long.

And as I left, I heard a sweet cry,
This Songbird sang to me as it flew away the sky.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Khepary, in the year 138 MA.
