Daydreams born on a laugh and a chuckle
Tendrils of sunshine wrapping you in
Dancing willows, delicate and thin
Scents of strawberries and honeysuckle
Whimsical thoughts of puffy clouds
The shapes eluding your drifting mind
Whispered giggles, sensitive and kind
Enrapture your senses, sights and sounds
But through it all you feel a touch
A warm embrace so soothing to feel
Not a daydream for it's much too real
But sending you more dreams, thoughts and such
Your name is whispered followed with a song
A soft lullaby to send you back drifting
Back through the clouds and scenes for sifting
And a thought enters your mind, "It won't be long"
You wake and wonder, "Was it all dreamed?"
You still feel a warm embrace
You nearly see her sweet face
"It was as it seemed. It was as it seemed."
