The Chaos Plane was in great unrest. Occultists and Cabalists both came
upon the Emperor Golgotha a number of times, pacing in his grand
chambers, yet he did not speak a word - he merely appeared troubled, and
wary. They tried to dismiss the growing sense of worry that had taken
seed within their souls, yet it could no longer be ignored when they
returned to the Chaos Plane to find that some of the Chaos Lords had
disappeared.

The leaders of the Occult and the Cabalists came to confront Golgotha,
bringing to him their concerns. At last, the Emperor broke down, and
told them that a horrible thing had happened. Because all landmarks had
been lost the previous season, the flow of dark essence to the Chaos
Plane gave out and the seals on the ancient prisons of rebel chaos lords
grew weak, releasing them onto the plane. Soon, the Dominators had a
chance to learn just how serious this problem was, for hostile chaos
entities flooded the plane. The Chaos Lords who remained with Golgotha
were forced to retreat to the safety of his volcano, yet their numbers
dwindled daily.

It was then that Golgotha turned to the last hope he held - the alliance
of the Goddess of Corruption, Chakrasul. He explained to the Occultists
and the Cabalists that many ages ago, it was Her hand in the events that
allowed Golgotha's faction to come to power on the plane of Chaos. Yet
the Goddess remained doubtful, for She did not feel sufficiently
connected to the realm of Chaos to attempt any sort of re-enslavement of
the rebel entities.

Through the combined efforts of Occultists and Cabalists alike, an
intricate ritual was designed. Its bases were found in ancient ritualism
of the Ankyrean times, but much of it came from the deep, dark arts of
Numerology. Through this mystic powers, the ritualists were able to open
a channel to Chaos and the Goddess, infusing Her with its essence. Yet
something happened that they did not expect, for the ritual flung wide
open a rift to the Chaos Plane. In the backlash, the energy wreathed
around Chakrasul, solidifying Her body into a single glowing crystal.

When at last She managed to break free of Her crystalline prison, She
appeared angry beyond reason of sanity. Summoning all the Occultists and
Cabalists to Her, She strode forth to the Chaos Plane, where the
Cabalists and the Occultists found the chaos entities became far more
pliable. Golgotha, renewed by the power of essence from the Cabalists
and Occultists, was able to perform a rite of binding. He summoned
before him the Chaos Rebels' leader, Golrath. Filled with spite, the
rebel leader refused to acknowledge his defeat, not even when all of his
followers were summoned to the throne room by Golgotha's will. By the
Emperor's decree, they were banned to the outer reaches of the Chaos
Plane, the rebel lord Golrath left there chained for all eternity as a
reminder to anyone who would dare to cross the power of Chaos and
Dominators united.
