The Stand of Light

Many years had passed since the two angels of the Luminaries were
trapped by the evil machinations of the Emperor Golgotha, yet the wound
remained raw in the hearts of all light's servants. Yet one day, an
unexpected ray of hope entered their lives. It came in the form of
visions sent to Sahmie, the Guildmistress of the Luminaries at the time.
Summoning everyone for a rite of prayer in a sacred place of the
Luminaries, she guided them in solemn worship of light. Such was the
devotion of all those gathered that their joined spirituality was
sufficient to break the rift of planes and summon three beings of pure
light - three archangels - before them. Gravely, the angels told those
gathered that a rift to the Plane of Chaos would soon be opened by the
machinations of the necromancers. They emphasized that this may be the
only chance the Luminaries would ever have to reclaim the abandoned
angels.

Nothing more needed to be said. Armed with naught but three candles
given as a gift by the Archangels, the Luminaries and their allies set
off for the Chaos Plane. Fighting through hordes of chaos entities and
rather confused Occultists and Cabalists, who did not expect a raid of
this proportion into their dark sanctum, they finally arrived at their
final destination - Golgotha's infamous harem, where the two angels
stood chained by the power of a foul pentagram. Through a ritual of
spirituality, Sahmie, under the watchful protection of Iereas and
others, was able to complete the rites of prayers to destroy the foul
pentagram.

The angels were returned to the guildhall of the luminaries, where the
Archangels received them into their embrace for healing and rest. They
thanked the Luminaries for correcting this grievous wound to the
spiritual world, and reminded all those gathered that the light must
never waver to prevail. Yet after a victory against all forces of
darkness that clashed in that desperate hour, few of those present could
doubt the perseverance of light.
