Rebels' End

In Midsummer 497 of the Midnight Age, the long but ultimately fruitless rebellion of Bloodloch's territories came to a violent end. As Tirria, Thronekeeper of Blood, and Ayukazi, Bloodloch's War Minister, rallied leaders and divisions alike underneath the banner of Bloodloch, Abhorash arrived with Eggward, the gargantuan abomination born of Malevolence. Clearing a way through the barricades separating Vilimo from the wrath of the Sanguine Fist, Eggward spearheaded entry onto the theatre of battle, where Bloodloch quickly set up its base of operations.
Though the fighting was fierce, spanning across thousands of troops and a bloodthirsty ballista with a particular affinity for killing Damonicus, one by one the forces of Bloodloch began conquering objectives. Fortifications were cleared, reinforcement tents demolished, and engines of war dismantled in a display of swift retribution and overwhelming force. In time, naught stood between Administrator Kamakshi and his comeuppance save for the potential mercy of Thronekeeper Tirria.
And though Kamakshi pleaded upon that mercy - first with attempted reasoning, then by downplaying rebellion as mere jest, and finally with bargains of gold - he found none coming. Restrained by the Nocturnal shadows of Ayukazi, the helpless Atavian administrator's torture started in innocent enough fashion; the enterprising Maeve helped herself to one feather after another, deaf to Kamakshi's pleas to stop. His plight then turned bloody as Tirria advanced with scalpel held, carving his face away piece by piece. Questioning proved futile as Kamakshi could soon draw upon nothing more than seemingly endless screams. End those screams eventually did, as Tirria's scalpel slowly found its way through Kamakshi's neck, severing Vilimo's resistance along with its leader's head (which managed to ultimately find its way into Elene's hands).
Thus ended the long and bloody insurgency of Bloodloch's wayward territories. The city and its guilds did not escape unscathed - among the casualties were Raynard, first freed servant of the Dominion; Soul Blighter, warpup of an excitable Carnifex Reaper; countless unnamed citizens; and Bloodloch's mode of government itself. However, in enforcing the might still found within its caverns, the empire found a true return to form.
Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 17th of Midsummer, in the year 497 MA.
