On the 2nd of Haernos the war grew yet again.

Axamivoa Fraxi ge Feduan of the Mitrine, came to the Ophidian Ruins to commune once more with the Spirit held within the monolith buried therein. Ever cautious, the Ophidian Earthshaper Tlkhri'i brought Ophidian troops to observe the ritual. Quickly, assemblies from all major cities came to obvserve, curious if contact would finally be made.

What exactly happened depends on who tells the tale: Enorian struck the Ophidians before they could attack the Mitrine. The Mitrine attempted to free the spirit, forcing the hand of the Ophidians. Perhaps neither, perhaps both. What was next is clear: The Imps attempted to destroy their enemies in one devestating attack, and by design or poor aim, almost destroyed the Monolith and released the imprisoned Spirit.

The wards held, and the Spirit abides its containment uneasily, blindly lashing out in its grief and anger, at the ash of the Mitrine and its centuries of imprisoment. The Earthshaper Tlkhri'i is a pile of gore, sliced apart by a swirl of stones in air. Fraxi ge Feduan is a shadow upon the wall; the bomb left no corpse to have rites performed.
