Of recent, the rogue Beast Cultist Lorenzo returned to the Great Rock, and at the urging of the Omei, the Beast Queen they struck down Bearnath and installed themselves as the new leader of the Beast Cultists. Freeing the Beastlord into reality, they subsequently imprisoned it, rendering it subservient to the cult at large; no longer worshiping the Beastlord, they turned their ethos and ideals toward Lorenzo's new Goddess.

Although professing faith in the Goddess, the Beast Cultists reject any status as a protectorate; their stated goal, going forward, is to declare war against and kill anyone who wants to pick a fight with them, as well as exert rulership over the Liruma and cause mayhem wherever possible. Lorenzo, claiming the title of Crow Man, is the first Beast Cultist to hold that honor in centuries.

Lotash, upon hearing of the news, has declared renewed vendetta upon the cultists of the Great Rock, as well as offering a small bounty to any who claims the life of Lorenzo or the Beastlord, or rescues his daughter.
