We've added a new system to help keep yourselves abreast of ongoing events in-between event posts: Gossip!

The GOSSIP command can be used while within a city area, any village/urban environment, or at a public tavern/pub and allows you to gather some quick tidbits about any recent events without being beholden to your city bothering to keep its citizens' informed.

This will mostly only be used for large, public events where it could be expected that knowledge has spread throughout the general public. Gossip quickly fades over time, and each real life day that has passed will make the gossip more unintelligible until it finally disappears from the gossip.

We hope it helps with keeping people that miss events informed enough about any ongoing events that they are able to pursue further answers in-game.
