Hey folks,
Aetolia is first and foremost a roleplaying game, and lately we've noticed an alarming trend of a decline in the quality of roleplay happening in the game world. We're going to spend the next few weeks addressing this, and will be introducing changes that will encourage and facilitate more roleplay.
Our first such change is total removal of the SAY command and its variants (mutter, whine, snarl, etc). From now on you will be required to EMOTE when you have something to communicate to other people. Newbies will still have access to the SAY command in order to ease themselves into the roleplaying atmosphere.
Over the next couple of weeks we also have plans to remove all pre-defined emotes, and removing the TELL command. We will be introducing these changes one at a time so you can all adjust yourselves to the changes as they come.
