Stigandr,
You are right. This is a waste of time, so I shall keep this brief.
For one so enamored with his own "freedom," you spend an awful lot of time justifying yourself to the world. If you are so content in your self-imposed exile, why the need for a grand proclamation? The irony of decrying city life while writing an entire dissertation on why you're leaving is not lost on me.
You reject occupation, yet abandon your people rather than resist. You scorn leadership, yet bemoan its decisions as though your approval was ever necessary. You claim strength, yet flee at the first sign of adversity. And, most amusingly, you frame your departure as courage, as though running from responsibility has ever been anything but cowardice.
I see others have begun to teach you the error of your ways, so I shall refrain from wasting more of my time. Enjoy the wilderness. May you find there the spine you so sorely lack.
Ever Rising,
