Promotion Update

Two things! Both huge amounts of work, yeesh.

First, I apologize. I mispriced the 30 and 50 crowbar packages. They were too expensive, and actually came to a little worse of a deal than buying a ton of credits at the value. Because we want our promos fair, I have adjusted their values accordingly. They are now 33 and 60 crowbar packages.

That's not cool, I'm supposed to be good at math. Sorry! I've given anyone who bought those packages more than the difference back.

Second! Little changeup to the promo:

We will now be selling crate packages on the website. These packages all specifically target a single group of relics with 2/3 of their contents. So when you buy a crate of racial relics, you WILL get 2 racial relic pieces, and one of anything.

THESE PURCHASES DO NOT INCLUDE CROWBARS.

Let me add that again.

THESE PURCHASES DO NOT INCLUDE CROWBARS.

They are WORTHLESS without a crowbar. You can buy them to sell to people, or save for the future, but they WILL NOT be opening without a crowbar.

Thusly, all crates are valued at their cost in expected value MINUS 10 crowbars. So, if I think a crate is worth $100 in credits, it is priced at $100 - 48 = $52, so you can open them and still make a profit. This IS in line with promo math.

These crates will be stamped with a number in order to show their difference from normal random crates. The numbers are a little obtuse, specifically so you can play games with one another if you wish. (Crate stamped 1 traded for a crate stamped 5, who got the better deal?!). I will provide translation for the numbers to anyone who asks... eventually. The purchaser, of course, knows what they bought.

Third thing:

Later in the month I will be adding a command to crowbars that will let you trade them back in for a value in relics. This value will be in line with our normal promo. This way any crowbar purchased still has value, even if you don't have any crates. The difference being that the relics it trades for will be madly random and thusly less valuable than crates from the sale.

Apologies for a bad few days of math. This has me quite upset at myself. Let's hope I have not shaken anyone's confidence.
